Ways that will hopefully help me get control of my bills

Things that I need to do in order to get my bills better under control...  I have no problem paying my bills but I am going to post ways to help pay them better...

1. I need to have some sorta of system to know when all my bills are due.. I have a calendar for everything else
Each month, I am going to write the due dates on adry-erase calendar on the fridge.. So the reminders are Right infront of my face.

2. I am going to try a shop around for better deals.. http://www.lowermybills.com/ for example insurance etc..

3.I need to  Designate a place for my bills to go which orgnazieing my file folders will be my next post.


 So I was thinking to have one file folder... the first one.. and then in abc order after that Inside the "Bills" (1st one) file, have 4 manila folders. Each folder is labeled:



Due 1st thru 7th

Due 8th thru 15th

Due 16th thru 23rd

Due 24th thru 31st

And put my bills in here as soon as I open them .. which will not be many since I save money by paying most of them online. which of course saves stamps etc..
